@SGregory

Are you sure the inductance value for CLC, L being .35H aircore or is 0.35mH?

0.35mH seems better doesn't it. Missed the "m" when typing and proofing. When I get home, I will open the box and read the value off to make sure.

I supposed was a typo but I will be sure, thank you.

For the power supply I used a RCLC. The R being the voltage dropping resistor. The C1 is >10,000uF. L being .35H aircore and the C2 being 10,000 Low ESR caps. I even bypass C2 with a 1uFMKP and .047MKP. (Truthfully I can't hear a dif between bypassed or not but it is there anyways.) Ripple off of the PS is <<1mV measured. PSUDII calculates a similar result. The R was measured in-situ to obtain the correct voltage and for a given load will be a factor of the xfmr regulation. The L was an old speaker crossover inductor I had laying around. It is cheap and fits nicely between the caps. This configuration provides a LOW impedance source to the salas shunt reg.
Again I went the CLC route vs. CRC as my experience in the past has been the CLC has a faster and stronger presentation of transients and better detail. (That tends to be my pref in sound).

For my build, even though I went r-core, I am placing them in a seperate box. Primarily for aesthetics.
I really like your idea about CLC on the psu.

Can you post any pics ?

Even with a r-core, best results are obtained with outboard psu.

Sorry, that was a lousy attempt at doing it quick. To see it in a size you can see I think it was post 4261 on this thread. If you want more pics let me know.

HI Salas
when you are at the end life of dl103r stylus you can upgrade from a Stylus Expert Co. with ruby cantilever and paratrace stylus

I am using a RC combo but as my caps are four pole they have some inerent inductance.

I will use your setup when I build another psu with "normal" EL caps.

Hi Salas,
i read a lot of time, that you recommend CarbonComp
resistors at gate-position of irfp9240 etc.
For what reason, or would a 0,6W Metallfilm do as well?

Greetings Ulf

Non self inductive. Metal for V1 less dangerous. For V1.2 more.
