guys,
i've been rummaging through my things at home when i found this two cartridges: 1 AT91e with stylus and 1 at 312EP. The latter is without a stylus.both have gold plated pins. this could be part of some turntables i purchased a long time ago and which i forgot about already
do you think they are worth replacing the stylus especially the 312ep or i'd be better off buying a new cartridge? i'm using now an entry level AT cart CN.....

I have the AT 80E cartridge. one of the first modifications I made was to pop the top and fill the internals full of candle wax. Tremendous improvement, both by dampening and by adding mass.
Also, glue the stylus to the cartridge with Elmer's glue. It can be broken if need me but works well.
Take this as an opportunity to experiment!
