Hello, First time here and thought that somebody may be able to help out. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I have a very basic knowledge of electronics and want to make a radio which can play all the frequencies which it picks up, All the time. So there is no tuning just all the bandwidth (is that the right term?) playing at once.

Can it be done electronic gurus?

I was thinking that the easiest way to make this would be to change an existing radio. Would this be a good place to start?

Thank you,

Are you wanting only AM (Amplitude Modulated) radio signals? That would probably be _much_ easier than FM, or other types.

If you ARE wanting AM only, then it should be easier to make a wideband receiver than it would be to make a standard-type station-tuned receiver. But you would still probably want to limit the bandwidth to something that makes sense, (and) to possibly eliminate frequency bands containing signals that your detector cannot deal with (FM et al).

It would probably help if you could be more specific about the intended purpose of the receiver.
