Bought one of these from a local flea market yesterday (Sunday) for +-UD$14. Just dirty and dusty (OK, it WAS)
I spent the day cleaning it up and it looks and works like new. Anyone still using one of these? Pic to follow. Cheers all bulgin |

A seriously good score.
According to a mate who used to service this kinda stuff in one of JHBs best stores of times past, the worlds best tape decks were made by Nak and Tandberg.....

Not especially good score. This is two head machine with a lot of features missing because of the two head design . But at least it has dual capstan and three motor design. See TCD330 or especially TCD440 from the same period would have been a find. TCD-440 is a marvelous 3-head machine from the late 70s with frequency range 20Hz-20KHz and Wow & Flutter less than 0.06. I would love to get a hold on that one.
Cheers, Dimitar |

Thanks for the info guys.
Thar she blows (after cleanup). No before pics. I had to smuggle it in and quickly do a strip job before mrs bulgin spotted 'another useless piece of junk'. A bit clunky in the controls but otherwise just fine bulgin |
