Bonjour les frenchies!
;-)

I recently bought on ebay a used HA-1000 since the SP8 only has MM Phono entry and my SUPEX900 needs a Pre Preamplifier.
Before it was not the case using a Linn Kairn with it's built in MC Phono entry.

I have now a GND Loop issue: should i forget to push the MUTE ON before stopping the LP12 motor i get a huge PLOC in the speakers! This issue never occured with the Linn Kairn...

Maybe some capacitors are worn in the Ha-1000?
I will open it and inspect how it looks!

Bonjour,

Maybe you should firstly check the LP 12 switch capacitor . It may have been efficient until now and turned out to be weak .
As far as I know, when worn the HA1000 capacitors create a continuous HUM , not Plocs.
It's the same in case of a grounding loop (HUM but no Ploc).
I suggest a test : connect the LP12 directly to the MM Phono entry ; If the ploc persist the HA1000 is clear.
