Rega Rb300 bearing question

I just recently bought a used RB300 arm. When the arm is moved back and forth gently, I can feel the bearings "click". It's nothing that really keeps the arm from moving (it's really minimal), but the bearings aren't perfectly smooth like the RB600 I own. Is this just how the RB300 is? Or did I buy a faulty used arm? Thanks,

I've got an RB300 as well, and it is completely silent and smooth despite having a damaged tracking control. I'll double check it tonight to see if I can feel anything, but I don't recall noticing anything.

It shouldn't 'click' I'm affraid; it should feel just like your 600.

It's pretty subtle, a "click" was the wrong term. More of a slight bump in the bearing which occurs twice in the motion of the bearing. I'll be sending the arm back. Thanks,

I re-checked my RB300. It should be completely smooth with no clicking.

Mine after 20 years of service does `click` but I managed to fine tune the bearing and tweaking the arm by removing the whole spring mechanism and now tracks excellent.
