Speed control JVC QL A2

I have a JVC QL A2 turntable which sounds good when working at the appropriate speed, however, it has a strong preference for 45 rpm rather than 33. I set the speed selector to 33 and invariably at some point during my record listening everything gets faster and sounds higher. It's annoying.

I don't have the money for a new table, and like the one I have when working well.
Can anyone offer a suggestion for fixing this?

Thanks

The JVC (and Denon) direct drives have a magnetic ring around the inside of the platter. There is a tape head like (except non-contact) sensor that reads this ring and acts as a tachometer. Hopefully it's just a matter of repositioning the sensor, not a problem with the magnetic strip or electronics. I don't know how you would go about fixing that.
