Default Alpage (Alpine) Turntable - Opinions?

HI,
I'm looking at (to buy) an Alpage AP-4000 turntable that I can't find much info on. Apparently not a popular model.

Any information, thoughts or opinions welcome.

Hi,

Could be ok, could be terrible - poor torque / speed stability / dynamic
wow. Why an unknown model ? For DD I'd pick a decent known model.

Do you have any more pics? Not a good sign when you can't even find info on Japanese sites.

Hi,
I'm looking at what's (relatively) cheap and available. I know very little about turntables, as I haven't handled one in about 24 years (went to cassettes to CD's in the meantime).
I'm willing to work on the unit to improve it if it has any potential.

Hi,

There is a whole series of pictures in the e-bay auction.

There is nothing much you can do to a DD with a poor motor or servo design.

Hi sreten,
To clear up: I was referring to information, not photos. I'm not trying to hide this amazing E-bay auction - Google would find it quick enough.

So, your advise would be to avoid this TT, given that I can't find enough positive info?
Thanks.

Thanks. The problem is I don't know any devils. I have next to no knowledge on this subject, so I look for guidance here.

Thanks Nanook, this looks to be a decent unit. Any ideas as to what it might be worth?
I'm not looking to make a huge investment here, as it will see very limited use.
