Diassembly - Re-wiring Infinity Black Widow Tonearm

I have an Infinity Black Widow (the original aluminum tube version) tonearm I'm considering re-wiring, BUT I'm not sure how to remove/install the wiring.

The original wires are very small gauge, stranded, and cloth wrapped. They're routed through the very small diameter arm body.

Removing the DIN connector from the arm pillar is easy enough, it's secured with a set screw, but pulling gently at either end of the wiring doesn't seem to allow movement.

Does anyone know how to approach re-wiring this arm? Has anyone taken one apart - and then successfully put one back together?

Hi,
Talk to this guy. He is in NJ. He might be a good place to start. He does Tonearm rewiring and he knows the Gotchas!
