Hi, I have just replaced the motor on my Luxman A-522 TT which appears to be a Rega clone.
I used a new Premotec 250rpm AC motor using a 0.22UF cap and 6.8ohm resistor. It runs a bit slow. I was given what was beleived to be a UK 50Hz Rega pulley by a kind gent on DiyAudio. It measures around 13mm which makes me think it is actually the 300rpm 60Hz pulley. The subplatter which looks just like the Rega item measures 112mm diameter. The original Copal 500 rpm motor has a 7.5 mm pulley. Can someone give me the original rega measurements and any advice as to where I have gone wrong? Thanks, Kevan |

Attached is a picture of the subplatter and bearing. The spindle is 8mm in diameter.
Can someone tell me if that is the same as the Rega spindle. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Kevan |
