Hi guys, I have just retrieved my Meridian 104 Tuner from the loft where it has been carefully stored for about 2 years. When it went up there it worked fine but now when I switch it on I get a hum through the speakers. I have checked all the obvious connections and they seem sound. The internal circuitry is very clean and tidy. I would very much like to use this classic piece of kit again so any suggestions are most welcome!
Thanks, Richard.

Hi Richard, check the electrolytic capacitors ( specially of the power supply ) and the ground connections of the signal wires. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi, raindog,
Thank's very much for the advice! I shall certainly try that at the weekend, most of the components in the Meridian seem fairly 'off the shelf' I'll let you know how I get on as I have now decided to sell the 104 if I can get it working correctly. Kind regards,
