What to do with 3 SAEC WE-308 tonearms (4, actually, including 'parts' tonearm)? Why, a 3-armed turntable, of course. Thought process, such as it was, arrived at ability to test different carts, without injecting arm/table/wire differences, as the go-ahead reasoning. Added bonus - Quick-Switching Box!
Anyway, this is it, so far. Materials: birch ply, hard maple, walnut, walnut veneer, Corian. Motor will be a Papst from an Empire tt. Bearing/aluminum platter sourced from ebay. Total cost will come in at 200.00/250.00. |
