composite to XLR

I have recently run into a problem I got a pro amplifier that has some age to it (around the 60's -70's) it only has XLR input on it. My preamp only has composite jacks and I was wondering if it were possible to get the amp working without having to use opamps to transfer it to XLR.

Hi,

you can connect one side of a balanced input to ground and drive the other input.

No op-amps needed.

Sometimes amplifiers have XLR input sockets but are not actually balanced.
