Default Magic Acoustic Scene Rebuilder

if you like the sound of vinyl
then you must try this scheme
the gain is 4

you need a balanced output DAC
and the phase of the right speaker must be turned around

apparently useless
this preamplifier
it produces an extraordinary dynamic
and finally returns the center of the scene

As simple as that wiring diagram is, it's still confusing. Are XLR pins L2 and R3 directly tied together for one channel. Then, R2 and L3 for the opposite channel, I suppose? Doesn't this then short together the L and R output drivers, which are each attempting to drive a different signal? As for Pin 1, it connects to the chassis/safety ground, and is not even a signal pin. Further, pin 1 almost certainly introduces common-mode noise to the whole affair.

As for what pleasing effect this might produce, I can only think that it is due to altering/distorting the inter-channel signal difference information. Which is what makes stereo, well, stereo. Without which, it's mono. In terms of music listening, this then would alter the ambient sound presentation to unpredictable affect. Perhaps, it's a bit entertaining at first, but over the long term? Whatever fidelity this produces, it would not seem to be authentic.

This just seems to be a line level L+R circuit, with two out of phase outputs as set up. I fail to see the reason behind it.

so the bass wave is in opposite phase
between two channel
