One concern as always with the single-stage feedback wonders is packing in enough open loop gain to keep the distortion down at the amplification needed for low frequencies. Another possible (but complex) approach would be to use two gain blocks and split the equalization somehow. Isufficient open loop gain can also introduce equalization errors.
