I am also looking for a similar tone control using digital pots like ds1882 etc, but got confused with the statement that these digital pot's wiper pin needs to be connected to high impedance load for good performance. For volume control it can be satisfied as we are connecting it to a opamp buffer stage next which will be having very high impedance. But for tone control's wiper pin may not be connected to very high impedance. So I got confused with this if we can use it in tone controls or not.
Please suggest if we can use these digital pots in tone controls or not.
