Hello. I have been using a Carver C1 preamp on my Scout turntable for several years. Recently, it began emitting a random and transient static sounding "pop" through the speakers. Sometimes, it won't do it for days, other times, 2 or 3 times in a row. It seems to have no pattern and its a pretty loud pop. I tried several grounding points, turntable to preamp and again to amp, both, either, no difference so it isn't ground. Also checked the amp seperate to ensure it was in fact the preamp. Anyone experience this before?
