hi guys,
i was building a subwoofer cutoff circuit, going through the internet, i found this.
Circuit adjustable bass filter from 50 Hz to 150 Hz – Ne5532 Bass Filter with volume control | Xtronic Free Electronic Circuits and Informations
Given my 0 knowledge in Audio circuits,Can someone tell me if this project will work ? because as i can see, it lacks the proper documentation and instead in the comments somewhere, i hear "LOTS OF NOISE".
Thanks a ton

I use these all the time,,,, there are some variations on the basic design but with ne5532's used in the bass region they work great! I was able to find a kit off EBay for $8 US delivered... Took ten days to get here, and I had to solder it , which I find as good therapy!
Anyway the version that you reference looks good! The one I use is the X-Y brand, also JR makes one. Check EBay.....

download Ti's filter designer software.
That will give you the parameters you need to select the type of Lo Pass filter you want for your bass only speaker.
from there you can then select kits or projects that meet your requirements.
Worth going to ESP, he has lots of articles on filtering.
Gain the knowledge, then make informed decisions.
