The Behringer DCX-2496 is extreme overkill but fits my needs for only $250 new.

Wondering if its worth the trouble to build an op-amp based analog active sub crossover as follows:

Mono
4th order
Unbalanced
Level Control
Low-pass Only
Pole Continuously Variable 40-80 Hz
Voltage Gain Per Recommendation, No Extremes In This Application
Phase Angle Permanently Fixed @ 90-Degrees, No Switch/No Variable Range

What is estimated cost for op-amps? I respectfully request a schematic diagram minus power supply.

Many thanks in advance.

I have used and designed analog cross-overs years ago. I wonder how they will sound with best opamps. But, I also bought a dcx2496 because it is so flexible. havent used it yet. But variable phase angle may be needed to get the acoustic 90 degrees needed.

I humbly request cost estimate to build the following active crossover including appropriate ESP board and all necessary op-amps and passive parts.

Minus pots, minus chassis, minus power supply, minus shipping, minus op-amps and passive parts for #2:

1. Unbalanced
2. PCB option to add stereo high-pass, 2nd order fixed @ 80 Hz, stereo level control
3. Mono low pass, dual pole: 4th order continuously variable 40-80 Hz, 2nd order fixed @ 80 Hz, level control, electrical phase permanently turned 90-degrees

Waiting for reply from ESP since last week.

Thanks!
