Not everybody uses these, that is appreciated. You can swap a 50k pot for the gain control to have both cut and boost thus countering the gain effect of the tone controls.

Nice work horse. Put current sources on the opamp outputs and use a series/shunt regulated supply and it will sing pretty good.

Thank you. Yes class A operation of opamps is quite popular and a regulated supply for them may win the day

Please. Can you add a 'direct' conmutator for bypass the tones?

Thank you. This preamp is very application specific. Bypassing the tones means you are looking for something else, which may also have a better approach

The preamp could be expanded to a fully fledged flexible model with the addition of more amplification stages, to cater for balanced in and out and tone bypass and high pass and low pass filter etc or it could be stripped down to an active volume control . But then it would have become something else

High quality 0.01uf supply filter caps tied as close as possible to the opamp supply pins will help with hf accuracy.

Thank you . One could do that, however in light of the input filter and a regulated linear power supply, not forgetting a good source of the chips and good PCB layout, we may get away without them . Yes its a good idea.

Exploiting trace inductance and resistance has been used for quite sometime now to create electronics that have their extensions in the PCB, to the extent that were you to reproduce that circuit without its PCB it may not work as planned.
