Building a couple of boomboxes and after hearing a few commercial products, I discovered this psychoacoustic phenomenon. A bit late if you say so, but it's quite interesting.
When doing searches over the internet, I was suprised that there seems to be no pre-made boards, kits etc. for these kind of things, at least I didn't find. It's interesting because you can find almost anything on ebay (and made in china) these days.
Waves had their product in car systems but out of production I think.
The used chip, MX3000AS, looks like it's still available.

I'm not an expert on designs, but looks that a functioning device isn't so hard to build. About 20 external components and you tune the circuit's clock frequency according to your desires, and that's it?
I do like untouched and clear sound, but this would be an interesting project to implement in some small boombox.
