OK I tried to search and could not find the answer I am looking for.
I am trying to sum stereo signal from ipod to go into one of my IcePower amp modules.
The Ice power has Balanced inputs so would I be better off to take the single ended stereo and convert to mono balanced or just keep it single ended and use some 10k resistors for proper summing?
I know I would get 6db more gain if I could use balanced input and with the low output of some stereo headphone outputs I really dont want to loose the gain.
Thanks!!

Could try this
EDCOR - Stereo to Mono Couplers
I'm not affiliated with this company, but coincidentally am about to try one of these units. Seems an elegant solution.

Perfect, thanks!!
Do you think it would be better to do volume control before or after this?
