Default GFP-555

I got laid off today from the government, so I have a ton of free time now. I decided to recap the old Adcom GFP555 and upgrade of OPAMP on it too. It says 1986 inside, so im sure those caps are past their exp date. I ordered all ELNA RFS silk caps and two Nichicon KG Super Through caps. The OP is a 2041DD and im upgrading it to a OPA2132. This should make it sound better. I'll post some pics when it all arrives.

I recapped mine last month. Twas noisy. Not anymore. I'm very glad I did it. Parts can be had from PartsConnexion or Mouser. Being in Austin, parts from Mouser get to my place obscenely quick as theyre just south of Ft Worth. Not so much for the Canadian PartsConnexion.

I need a new volume pot for mine. There is an Alps in there that has 3 pairs of connetions, it is tied into the loudness compensation circuit. I need help finding a replacement part OR an idea on how to bypass the loudness. Thanks.

I typically buy my parts from ebay from sellers I have purchased from in the past. Shipping is about two weeks and you can't beat the prices. Selection is pretty good too.

Should be interesting to see how sounds with a higher grade bur brown opamp in there.

I replaced the speaker terminals from ones I bought on ebay. Solid copper coated in 24ct gold and looks a lot like these:

WBT 0765R Midline Fully Insulated Binding Post Red 093-562

Only I paid 20 bucks for 4 of them.

Actually, it may be 4 pairs... it's been a while since I looked... at any rate it's not the standard C CCW CW

I got a delivery today and changed out what I discovered to be some leaky caps. Still have some caps on order. I already replaced the dual channel OPamp. Im trying to figure out that the other 4 do. I pretty sure 2 are for the phono. It is the other two I am concerned about.

I just have to replace the volume pot as the balance is off a little even with adjustment.
