AV / HT Preamp

Greetings Everyone,

I'm looking for a mystery component, at least to me. I am looking for a preamp that can select digital as well as analog sources, from my BD, Sat/DVDR, HTPC, etc, using HDMI, maybe even optical/digital. After the preamp, it will run to my Soundcraftsmen Pro EQ-44, Active Crossover, Soundcraftsmen Pro Power 4 & PCR 800. I currently have an all analog Soundcraftsmen DX3000 preamp there now.

Essentially, what I'm getting at, is I want a HT Receiver that doesn't have the internal amp thrown inside. Just digital in and analog out. Phono would be nice, but I'm not even worrying about that at the moment. The only things close that I have been able to find are from the like of NAD or Audiocontrol and cost 1k - 2k. Am I missing something obvious for this use? I've been searching and lurking everywhere trying to find something.

I'm getting close to just buying a Denon AVR-1312 or HK AVR1600 and calling it a day.
