Another case solved!
I wonder if I could get a discount on my next purchase for recommending him?
I also use his polyprop caps, they're not bad, if I have no room for PIO or teflon.

Somebody is kidding us on.
First we get linked to soldered RCA plugs.
Then we get linked to solderless RCA plugs that were >$26 and subsequently discontinued.

Which is which? As far as I can see, the Valab plugs are still available at $24.
If you mean the earlier links, I can't see which ones are discontinued, but I can see some expensive ones.

Having received the Valabs I just wanted to say these connectors are GREAT!!!

One more question if I may...

Are there cheaper alternatives to the Valab?

I still need solderless RCA plugs, but not as expensive as these...

Yes, there are cheaper plugs, but I have found that the screws strip their threads on some cheap plugs. You get what you pay for - if you are lucky! You could try these- Audio Catalog I mean these - RCA-M02GS; remember you need 3 screws.
I have used him also, just ask for final price, including postage.

What is the issue with using solder rca plugs? Is it just that you don't want to solder, or is the screw connection better?

For various reasons I don't want to solder at home. One of them is that 3 babies are present in a pretty confined space...

I totally understand. I won't solder in the same areas my kids spend time in. Fortunately I have a basement for projects.
