Somebody is kidding us on.
First we get linked to soldered RCA plugs. Then we get linked to solderless RCA plugs that were >$26 and subsequently discontinued.

If you mean the earlier links, I can't see which ones are discontinued, but I can see some expensive ones.

Having received the Valabs I just wanted to say these connectors are GREAT!!!
One more question if I may... Are there cheaper alternatives to the Valab? I still need solderless RCA plugs, but not as expensive as these...

Yes, there are cheaper plugs, but I have found that the screws strip their threads on some cheap plugs. You get what you pay for - if you are lucky! You could try these- Audio Catalog I mean these - RCA-M02GS; remember you need 3 screws.
I have used him also, just ask for final price, including postage. Last edited by awkwardbydesign; 3rd February 2012 at 07:37 AM. Reason: adding detail |

What is the issue with using solder rca plugs? Is it just that you don't want to solder, or is the screw connection better?

For various reasons I don't want to solder at home. One of them is that 3 babies are present in a pretty confined space...
