Hi I am quite new to electronics and I am wondering could anyone out there help me modify this semi parametric eq I am playing with. At the moment the eq is set to sweep from 100hz to 8khz however I want make the frequency sweep from around 500hz to 15khz if thats possible, any helps appreciated thanks.

Change C1 to alter the overall range (both upper and lower limits will change); change R6 and R4 to alter only the lower frequency limit (though it will interact somewhat with the upper one too). Play around in a simulator to find the values you want.

I use LTSpice, on a windows PC. It is free and powerful. Others have used LTSpice under Wine on Linux, and I see no reason that it should not work under Wine for Mac OS X also. Look up Wine (free) or Winonx (not free). If Wine doesn't work, try using a virtual machine such as VirtualBox (free) and installing windows XP or whatever onto that. Then you can run anything, even things that won't run under Wine. I use VirtualBox on my Mac.

I was told that I could Scale the two caps smaller to push up the 100Hz 5x to 500Hz so 1/5th of C1 and C3 but will probably impact on the Q max and cut/boost
