Default Vishay/Dale RN60C or RN55E?

Let's say you had to choose between two 1.2k resistor types -

Dale RN60C 1.2k 1% 50ppm 1/2W -or- Dale RN55E 1/2k .1% 25ppm 1/4W

Assuming that either type can handle the heat dissipation at a given point in a circuit, in the interest of best sonics and lowest noise:

What would be the better choice? the RN60C with its higher power capacity, or the RN55E with its lower tempco of resistance?

Not sure. My guess is the RN60 will run cooler and beat the RN55 on actual change with temperature, but I've been wrong before. Unless there were some weird factor, like the RN60 picked up interference due to it's larger size, or if you had to stand it up, I'd go with the RN60. In a really low power circuit I'd go with the RN55. I select my resistors, so the tolerance doesn't enter into it. That said, I don't think you, me or anybody else could tell the difference without kidding themselves.

Ok thanks I figured as much.. FWIW the RN55E is of the green hermetically sealed variety, not sure if these means anything though...
