I have build many volume control units but i stumble'd upon a pasive volum control made only with R.C. components i have built it ( can put pictures since i dont own a camera ) but did not teste yet and i want to know wath do you think about him, some ideeas , opinions are welcome'd ! The schematic is for mono channel but for stereo are 2 and a dual gang potentiometer,so hope you are interested ! Thanks allot ! 🙂
P.S.- Its physiological compensated volume regulator so it follows the
" human ear line "

Not very good. What is the purpose of this resistors and capacitors after the pot?
Well since the schematic is from a book,i assume the capacitors are in some ways linked to the frequenci and the resistors to audio voltage since te volume control is an voltage divider ! 🙂
It appears to be a crude attempt at a loudness control.
Well i guess so but i will post some measuring diagrams after testing him !
So do u think it will not work ? 😕It appears to be a crude attempt at a loudness control.
It will work in the sense that it will vary the volume. It will work in the sense that the frequency response will vary with control position, assuming that is what you want, but to what extent this will mimic the Fletcher-Munson curves I don't know. It looks like it will let through some bass even at 'zero' volume.
Im disapointed it does just that , bass at zerro volume level ! 🙁It will work in the sense that it will vary the volume.
