Default High voltage mosfet buffer

Can some one help me? I need to buffer the output of my preamplifier. The signal is maximum 4Vpp. The only voltage source is a 6.3Vac and about 300Vdc so I thik to use a mosfet so I'm looking for a schematic or at least some advice.

If I use a Ac coupled cathode follower like this:

but instead of the triode use a depletion mosfet, for example the DN2540?
