Where do I put the subwoofer volume control potentiometer?

Hi guys,

I'm building a 2.1 system. I'd like to have control over the power of the sub. Where do I put the pot? I have 2 boards that make up the sub portion. A preamp board and the actual power amp board. Do I put it even before the preamp board?

I would imagine that the pre-amp board provides the filtered signal for the sub, therefore if you want to adjust the sub level the pot must go after that.

It seems like it has adjustable filters. Like a mixer...

So in between the preamp and the power amp? How do I know what value to use? 10K?

I don't know how they do it... I couldn't even buy the parts for that price.

Yes 10k log should be ok, depends on the input impedance of your amp.

Input is going to be my PC...So not sure what that means, but I'll go with 10K.

And yeah no idea how they can do that for roughly $15 w/ shipping. Its not even like they are buying/selling in crazy bulk either.
