This preamplifier is optional and can be inserted between the selector and potentiometer PCB:

I added more information about the buffer project in a separate thread: Universal FET buffer / preamplifier

Hi
Just received the kit today. Beautifull job on the layout and pcb. I wish i could produce pc boards like that! Well worth the money. A few surface mount components i will have to teach myself to solder. Now i just need to find a nice, non hammond like enclosure and a simple remote. Thanks Veteran.

Mike
