I altered the current source setup with some auxiliary transistors so that it could do 100mA (the LT1990 does about 10mA). The Vactrol seems to have a slight edge on the Silonex -- into a 100K load. Of course, the Vactrol will not attain the low level resistance of the Silonex (I can get samples down around 40 ohms).
The Fairchild PhotoFET's are pretty good as well -- they are the fat surface mount so probably easier to solder up.
The Perkin Elmer and Fairchild Devices aren't quite as "twitchy" as the Silonex.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Thanks for the data...these are really low numbers. Is it safe to say the harmonic content is insignificant above H5? If so THD of the Silonex, if my math is correct, is about 0.000275% and considering Noise at around say -140dBV will add to about 0.000282%? The other 2 devices are slightly less. Is the Silonex LDR at 40R during the test?
Any chance for the NSL-32SR2 getting tested? I very much appreciate your efforts.
