Valve pre amp/phono stage

I wish to build a valve preamp, from either a kit or from semi scrath with some known circuits.

The pre amp will be used with 4 x500watt mono blocks.

It needs to have volume, source selector and phono stage.
(including mm or mc)

Any ideas?

Consider the Aikido kits from J Broskie / TubeCAD. He supplies line stage, voltage reg, phono and attenuator kits. They seem to be well received.

Transcendent Sound also offers a well-reviewed line stage and phono kit, though they aren't in the same chassis.
