You may want to check out VCA like SSM2018. THAT Corp has some VCAs too.

danzup> I keep coming back to shunt vs. r/2r. There are of couse many different ways of realizing the circuits but in the end it seams to alwys come down to the two sin some permutation. So in the end it seams you're right on the money?
I'm still not to crazy about the relays though.
