I've got a DCX2496, and I'd like to attach a six-channel volume control / attenuator box so that I can get the maximum dynamic range out of it. Instead of using the standard PGA2311 digitally-controlled volume pots, I was thinking of using three stereo 16-step make-before-break attenuators mechanically ganged together in combination with six op-amp amplifiers with the gain set to compensate for the varying sensitivity of each driver.
Is this an advisable solution? |

IC way:
- no zipper noise - fine steps - remote control - no extra cables - builtin opamp is optional rotary way: - zip? ZAP! - crude steps - no RC ![]() - waay to many cccaaaaaaableees. indeed , pga2310 is so standard even the deqx have those ? |
