I have a McCormack solid state TLC-1 passive preamp and i'm looking to replace the volume control with a TKD unit...The manufacturer charges big bucks for this upgrade so i was wondering if anybody can direct me to a person/company that could do his swap at a more cost effective price..Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

It wouldn't be that tough of a mod to do yourself. Just practice on something else first, so you don't toast a $60 pot right away

Just remember, in diy, the y stands for "yourself."
