I need a 3 way crossover in the this price range (£100+) since it compares to the dbx 234xl which has been compared elsewhere as the equal of a marchand xm9 xover (somebody which had both).
The most attractive advantage of the samson over the dbx is it includes time delay on the low end. In my mid-fi system I am willing to take a chance on pro xovers between my Beresford Caiman and some 41hz class d amps (only have a single amp6 basic at the moment). I am aware of the consumer/pro matching units so will research the impedance matching issue of course. I am not however willing to risk buying the samson for the odd feature just to discover it uses parts inferior to the dbx. Can anyone speculate/substantiate as to the quality of this unit please??? |
