Hii this is what i have of TDA7439's processor side schematics.
I also think we will need M32 or a bit larger one since Si4703 was bigger one compared to TDA7439's routine
i would like to keep the TDA7439 as it is and add one more switch for radio, and a rotary encoder to trune the radio.

so that would make 2 rotary enocder and 2 switchs.

I was looking to this display:http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/291/NHD-2...UCY3-52838.pdf
and this one: http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/291/NHD-0...-AB5-51365.pdf

Could someone more knowledgeable to tell me if they would work in the ATMEGA8515-PGA2310 configuration discussed here ?

The standard 16x2 display that i use is a bit hard to read from more than 2 meters.
