I only wonder what is the motivation of some people to tell me what I hear and what I don't hear, what have an impact on the sound of my setup and what doesn't.

as long as you emphasize that it is your setup.......but fuses?

My present phono stage is a tube one, not exceptionally good but a decent one.
My next planned project is a tube pre-amp combined with phono stage, after the late Allen Wright RTPC3C. I'm buying gradually the components.
My means are severely limited, being fully retired with no monetary reserves. So I buy the best gear that my means allow me to. I know there are much better pieces of gear than what I have, from sources through amplifications to loudspeakers. I just cannot afford better things.

I will need to build one before. As you know, shoemakers are usually barefooted.

In my other pieces of gear to my audio setup, different fuses definitely mad a change to the sound. However, it seems to me that none who is adhering to ones' beliefs religiously is going to let oneself be confused by facts.

Different people say different things.
I care much about what I hear, while I don't care at all about what other people say about what I hear and what I don't hear.
I don't recommend others what to do and what not to do in their own sound setups.
In my own setup, whatever I do is according to what I hear, not according to what others are saying about it. Even if the entire population on the face of the earth will say one thing, while I'll hear differently, I'll go by what I hear.

What about fuses? Are you convinced they make no change?

Anyhow, it seems that you'll be benefited should you'd build one for yourself. It may be time for the shoemaker to walk properly footed…
