I have a scanner hooked up to the line-in of a computer for live broadcasting over the internet (uses Simplecast and Icecast).
I am not sure where the noise is picked up from (antenna, coax cable, inside scanner) but there is a lot of electrical white static noise on the line. Can I make or buy a simple filter I could put between the PC and the scanner to clean-up the audio. Currently, all I have is a wire with 1/8" TS connectors going from the speaker/headphone out of the scanner to the line-in/mic of the computer. I searched but I am not exactly sure *what* I am looking for... Using "choke" or "filter" I got way to many results in way too many categories. Thanks. |
