I'd rather be part of the skunk works. I'd have an official excuse to rip into the pile of scrawled ideas that I keep tripping over.

Why Reno?
The great state of Nevada is heavily supported by its gaming industry. As a result, it has no state income tax, low property taxes, and is generally supportive of business in many ways.
Mr. Pass,
Thanks so much for being a great supporter of the DIY community.
People have mentioned the aesthetic similarity to the Aleph 30.
Maybe you don't want to comment on sound performance at this time, but how would you compare the sonic performance of the new First Watt and the Aleph 30 (I understand the 30 is well regarded)?
Best of luck in your new endeavor,
KT

Does that include the PCBs and Q-packs at passdiy?
Seriously though -- how can I get in line for a low serial number?
Are you going to let us see them before they go on sale?
Do the other PassLabs folks involved with this too?
its interesting that zen-like patience is required of us....
... as the commercial Zens come to pass

Q for Mr. Pass -- what are the colored dots on the FETs for? Used in the matching process?
One more: is that large gauge wire from the caps going to the rails speaker wires? I ask this one 'cause I learn from looking at other's pix, and this is a rare opportunity in deed! (and have a ton of speaker wire waiting to be used in a worthy project)
Ah!! Another one if I may push my luck: "No user servicable parts inside" -- must hurt to see that put on every product(Just kidding) seeing how you support us diy'ers
The amplifiers will start bleeding out in June, and there will
be an announcement will accompany. You should be prepared for
the fact that this first amplifier will by no means be a
regular sort of amplifier, and there are only a limited number
of drivers that will be happy with it.

What is the first one, the Zen or the X? I think the X is what I want.
Just finished a 4-5 watt Class A solid state and it has plenty of steam in my system. Kinda nice, room temp heatsinks for the summer.
A X for the fall through spring is needed. Here that is Oct - April.

Neither.
(I don't mean to keep you in suspense, but I don't wish to
pre-announce what will be an unusual piece.)
