Here is wher ewe come into the compromise called "budget”. Adding woofers (2 minimum) cost smore but can bring significant advances over the single driver by itself. Not only can you have bass as low as you $$$ and box volume limits allow relieving the FR of the heavy lift of doing bass improves their midTop potential.
So my advice is build the FR box, listen for awhile and then decide if you want and can afford more.

A12.2p is the name of the A12p if you consider that it is a second generation A12. So intentional, but it does date the drawing.

Just have to share how impressed I am with these drivers. So natural, great extension, easy to drive, easy to integrate. Image like crazy, phase is perfect. Image is literally everywhere on phasemanipulated recordings. On others right where it should be.

Thats why I ordered these drivers. If I just get the enclosures right, maybe I can finally hear what's actually going on in the front end.Just have to share how impressed I am with these drivers. I received my drivers two days ago, now they are in the break-in process with about 15 hours lounge/ambient/smooth jazz at low volumes and I am very impressed too (I know, you wrote it some time ago).Just have to share how impressed I am with these drivers. Somebody wrote a question some years ago but there was no answer, so I try it again: I will use the driver in an OB, without the bass range - what about the break-in? Or should I break it in as a full range without xo? An answer would be much appreciated.
I’d wait for Planet10’s answer, but my understanding is that it is wise to give them a couple of hundred hours full range, until you can pump up the volume a bit. The spider will significantly loosen up during those hours, and get better working conditione to produce the whole frequency range more accurately.
