Hello, I pass some pictures of my amplifiers (version 1 and 2):
Pretty cute!
Nice! I like the innovative use of the fan finger guards around the 13E1 tube sockets. Here is the boxed up version of the single ended OTL amp I have been developing on a breadboard for the past few months.
It uses the British 13E1 high power regulator tube. Input and driver stage duties are performed by Electro Harmonix, 6H30pi twin triodes.
Hello gideon1990, I think some photos say more than a thousand words (one of the challenges of the project was space).
Very nice!!!

Nice
Finished this one finally. 6V6 triode connected to IT to 45 or 2A3. Power supply section (minus regulation) is a variation of Millett’s R120 SE power supply and the front is inspired by VinylSavor’s work. Hammond power transformer and chokes, Lundahl interstage transformers and Transcendar output transformers. Mills resistors, Solen and ASC capacitors.
I have to say there *is* something about IT coupling that my ears/brain like.

There won’t be much moving with this one. The same tubes in cap-coupled circuits don’t have that something that this one has. To my aging frustrating ears, of course. At some point I will try the PowerDrive. If that circuit dethrones this interstage-coupled one - so be it. Otherwise this is another keeper.

Beautiful work! How did you manage to get that nice "curve" on that aluminium? Such a nice fit around the transformer.
Wavebourn,
Beautiful amp, beautiful singer, beautiful selection, beautiful music.
Was the music path something like this?
From your computer, to your amp, to your speakers, to microphone(s) and digitizer, to YouTube?
I heard the dog paws. By the way, nice dog too.
From there it was to my computer, to my amp, to my speaker (I just use Left channel only or Right channel only in this part of the house).

Pandora to MacBook, external DAC to the tube amp. Recorded on iPhone, so it's microphone honestly recorded everything that mixed on it's membrane, all distortions were well recorded. You may hear some intermods after I added the volume on the amp. But still, 3 nested feedback loops kept that tubes in a good shape. I may experiment with Chinese 6P6P, if they survive 400V B+. Bias is automatic cathode, but with adjustment, so I can adjust it for 12W power dissipation.
and then, your opinion on the Chinese 6l6wgb?
They survived.
But with 3 nested feedback loops it is hard to judge how the tube would sound in no-feedback amps.
It seems to me, I hear slight intermodulation on high volume that I do not hear with EL34 or KT77 tubes in the same amp. But may be it is the result of my prejudice.
With EH EL34 it sounds better. Or is it my prejudice?
