Moode Audio Player for Raspberry Pi

Hi,

moOde release 4.0 is available at moodeaudio.org. The download includes moOde 4.0 Sources and a Build Recipe for making the custom Linux OS that runs moOde. An automated OS Image Builder is available in the Support section.

Enjoy all the great new features and innovations in moOde including the wonderful new Adaptive User Interface, Bluetooth Audio and a new OS Image Builder with resume capability. This release is based on the latest Raspbian Stretch Lite OS, PHP7 Web Stack, MPD, Airplay, Squeezelite and UPnP audio renderers and the rock solid mainline Linux kernel.

Refer to the release notes below for details.

Sweet. Love the new and improved image builder. Just built on an RPi3B and for one reason or another it failed at the first optional component

Code:
// COMPONENT 1 - MiniDLNA
** Error: install failed
** Error: image build exited
** Error: reboot to resume the build

Rebooted as directed and the build restarted at this component and successfully built it and all the following components. Can't ask for better than this (well, ok, so I could ask for Component 6 - Upmpdcli to build faster but that's life).

Regards,
Kent

Hi Tim, Station images back after several reboots...:D

(I am blaming my old Xmos/dac combo as it sometimes doesn't sync at boot and locks up MoOde player...the UI shows tracks as playing and options are clickable but don't complete. Reboot and shutdown for instance...only by ssh do they work... )

So, having listened for a couple of hours I find SQ is improved significantly..:)
Add to that the extra features and the new UI... wow..!.. how do you manage make everything better and better each release...:)

Very impressed....donation sent.

The build recipe v2.3 is still trying to download beta 12

Hi,

I fixed this just a bit ago. Try refreshing Browser.

Here is from just downloaded Recipe 2.3

//
// NOTE: We are downloading the Sources in this particular step in order to obtain the resizefs.sh file.
//
// moOde 4.0
//

cd ~
wget http://moodeaudio.org/downloads/prod/rel-stretch-r40.zip
sudo unzip ./rel-stretch-r40.zip

Try the automated Builder if possible :)

Hi Kent,

I've thought about making pre-compiled binaries for the UPnP components but some of them are libraries and I'm not exactly sure how to handle them.

Remember to untick “automatically parse links in text” when posting web addresses you want people to type, or it mucks about with them

I just built a clean 4.0 version. I wanted to make my own default playlist, so I stupidly deleted the existing Default Playlist (Why? because the option was there). Now, when I try to Save the playlist I built, it doesn't appear anywhere in my Browse list.

Should I revert to my backup image & start over, or is there a way to recreate a placeholder Default Playlist?

Quick update to my previous post (I'm not sure I'm even posting correctly in this forum): I refreshed my [Chrome] browser, and now everything is working. I think I had remnants of the old beta12 showing up, which prevented me from getting the prompt for the playlist name. Pls ignore previous question I posed...

I can see we will need a separate thread where we post our customisations...:D

How do I stop it? I don't want the UI! :p

The Local UI is turned off by default anyway.

Which script are you using ?

This install...? (scroll down to 'support' for the install commands...
moodeaudio.org

ssh into pi then run ./mosbuild.sh, follow instructions etc very slow on this pi2....
I thought that was the 'only' script :confused:
Dig your background :D

Edit: there's some sort of rendering problem on chromium browser....
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Looks great on firefox ;)
Talking about dog slow, the expand SD option doesn't appear to be working, was going to build another card for a pi w...

You must look for errors on Local UI building option (even if you don't plan to use it, as previouly said, it will be off unless you want to use it).

To show last lines of log (with error), use moslast instead mosbried just after failure and post results here ;)

@markstwin My Pi2 took about 1hr30 to build today and I thought that was quite fast...:)

Not sure what is causing those errors....
I would just download the raspbian stretch-lite image as per Tim's instructions, reflash and start the build again.

Edit: there's some sort of rendering problem on chromium browser....

do some customisation and refresh the browser and reboot. (your image is what my install initially looked like in Firefox too)
