The answer is the geometry.

Star quad speaker cable:

Canare Corp.: Speaker Cables: Speaker Cable (Single) 4-Conductor Speaker Cable(4S11)

DIY / MUSINGS: Bi-Wired Canare 4S11 And Speaker Cable Discussion...

Archimago's Musings: DIY / MUSINGS: Bi-Wired Canare 4S11 And Speaker Cable Discussion...

Canare 4S11 (11AWG - 2/4 conductors): (~$1.50/ft, I noticed some Ram Electronics 4S11 cable measurements here)
DC Resistance: 2.6 mohm/ft
Capacitance: 45 pF/ft
Inductance: <0.12 uH/ft

Kimber 8TC (10AWG): (~$6.00/ft)
DC Resistance: 2.19 mohm/ft
Capacitance: 100 pF/ft
Inductance: 0.037 uH/ft

Belden 10AWG: (~$0.75/ft bulk, as used in Blue Jeans cable's 5T00UP)
DC Resistance: <2 mohm/ft
Capacitance: 25 pF/ft
Inductance: ~0.16 uH/ft

Zip cord (12AWG): ("Sound King" measured here, ~$0.50/ft)
DC Resistance: <3.31 mohm/ft
Capacitance: ~15 pF/ft
Inductance: ~0.2 uH/ft

@maty tinman, interesting enough the article did a direct comparison to the Belden cables I was looking at just a heavier gauge vs the bulk cable at parts-express.com. I already have Kimber 4pr for my front stage so it would be almost the same setup audioholics recommended in the conclusion. The bulk speaker wire Im most interested in is Belden 6100ue for about .40/ft

Well, I have Kimber Kable 8PR (5.3 mm2) with my KEF Q100 coaxial speakers. I could not resist an offer that I found years ago, at 7 euros/meter.

I noticed a clear improvement in everything, especially with the bass. The old one was a 2.5 mm2 generic OFC.

I have VERY BIG problems at mains: DC, RF/EMI and high votage. And RF/EMI atmospheric too.

I think the cable geometry had something to do with it. Later I was adding a lot of Schaffner RF/EMI filters, Würth 150 kHz ferrites and DC blocker too.

How to clean the DC at mains. And ripple too.

Jim Brown recommends twisting (about the same effect as braiding)
Twist yes. Braid no. Well, braiding is better than leaving the wires loose and I guess it looks prettier than twisting, but twisting is better.

Interesting that of the four wires mentioned in post 24 the best is the second cheapest: lowest resistance, and reasonable capacitance and inductance.

It is the one that would buy now. But not bi-wared like Archimago with only one cable.

Star quad cables with speakers, interconnection and power is the best election I think.
