I've acquired Aikido Octal board and a pair of 12SN7 from a friend and looking to procure all the required components.

First of them are quad of NOS 6SN7 from any well known brands in perfect condition.

Alternatively, I can take a pair of 12SN7 NOS tubes of GE make manufactured in 11/73 & 5/78 as I they would be about the same batch of the pair that I have.

All these tubes needn't be closely matched but not way off either. Not looking exotic stuff because of the cost factor.

Though I'm located in Hyderabad, India, (pincode 500009), for the sake of cheaper shipping, the tubes can be despatched to my niece who resides in Atlanta, (Zip 30338)

Hello, Rajesh
I can offer the following Russian NOS 6N8S (6SN7 equivalent) tubes
2pcs by Foton plant (1967 year, military tested) - 10usd/pcs
2pcs by Foton plant (1967 year) - 8usd/pcs
3pcs by Foton plant (1966 year) - 8usd/pcs
1pcs by Foton plant (1965 year) - 8usd/pcs
40pcs by Novosibirsk plant (1971...78 years) - 3,5usd/pcs
Sound of Foton tubes is a bit better than those by Novosibirsk.
Foto of the Foton tubes is enclosed.
Air shipment to India with tracking possibility is around 12usd.

It is also considered a valid option to run a pair of the better 6SN7's in the input position and a more humble pair in the secondary position. Please excuse my incorrect nomenclature, but you get the idea.

This is what I do. I run 60's Foton 6H8C in the secondary position and the more expensive ones in the input position. It makes it cheaper for me.

Hi Vladimir,

I'd be glad take the following:-
2 pcs by Foton plant (1967 year, military tested) - @20usd
2 pcs by Foton plant (1967 year) - 16usd
4 pcs by Novosibirsk plant (1971...78 years) - 14 usd.

I'm also willing to take your offer of getting it shipped to India @12 usd.

Kindly ping me your PayPal id. I'll ping my Indian address to you.

Regards

Rajesh

I have 5 of the 12SN7's in stock
The Pair of Tung Sols I'll sell for $25.00Usd
The Other 3 are $10.00Ea
Actually I would've preferred to deal with someone in US itself as I could've avoided shipping to India which is subject to custom clearance, a major bottleneck but alas, they were not quad of same make.

Thank you very much for the offer though.

Regards

Rajesh

My bad, I mistook these for 6SN7. Looks like PayPal is not an option for Vladimir. Not sure if that offer will work out for me. Can I partner Tungsol with two of the other three tubes? Which is the make for the "other" tubes?

If they can indeed be partnered, I'll take this offer and see how Vladimir's deal works out too.

Pl check my PM.

you were looking for 6sn7's
who are you

Lol. Its not I was (equivalent to "were" in your sentence) I still am looking for 6SN7 / 12SN7 tubes. As for your seemingly uncharitable query of who I am, my answer is I'm a fellow member of DIY Audio.

I'm wondering as to who exactly is Rick and what is it got to do with my thread. Pardon me if I'm missing anything here. Id be glad to be elucidated. :D
