Just spent a few hours verifying the 18 Gbps performance of a Samsung to Samsung. Actually testing cables. When the source content is good its really good. Youtube is a great source for 4K 60Hz HDR content, however not all the content is what it says it is. Need a decent connection.

HDMI 2.0 has 3x6Gbps channels, which aggregated could theoretically provide 18Gbps. I'll buy it when I'll see some credible reports on the 2.0 throughput, for the moment it is all marketing wishful thinking fluff. Migrating from HDMI 1.4 to 2.0 in legacy devices is a nightmare, if at all possible.
P.S. Oh, and football sucks at 60fps, anything under 240fps is hurting my eyes. IMO 60fps is for quasi-static imagery like National Geographic documentaries.

My cell phone gets regularly updated from cell towers on a regular basis to keep the time pretty dang close to PST. Magnificently better than any amazingly well designed mechanical watch, even if there is a simple delight in having the wrong time but a statement piece of metal on you wrist. (I think mechanical watches are super cool)
And while my cell phone is fancier than some of the curmudgeons on this forum, it's by no means "high end".
Watches are a very bad example, the best IMO is the correct time easily achieved by a cheap embedded GPS receiver the rest is pure jewelry. The excess strokes the egos of the usual narcissistic crowd of wank*rs. We have customers that want the health sensors adapted to $xxxx shoes because their clients would never put anything less than a Rolex on their wrists.

Sorry but there IS quality at a high level in those watches. Cheap-o wont last 200 years. Nothing to compare in Audio-land
