Very nice, how do the lights work?
Very,very nice.
Can you post schematics, and some more photos from inside ?
Great work, must have cost a bomb to make.
700 euro maybe little more
I was sure it would be lots more than that!
It is quite nice to give new life to and old piece.
It must sound a bit better without so much oxidation on the pots and maybe new capacitors?
i replace résistors , capacitors and 1 potentiometer , on adjoint the choke , and news valve ( 6P14P-EV ) , the PT and 2 OPT is rebuild , and 1 ECC 83 is old the SE EL 84 ( it is rescue the build ) .

I wish someone would make replacement potentiometers for 70's 80's receivers. My Pioneer SX-838 sufers, as does one of the Yamaha's.

What's so unusual about them?
BTW) Did a quick SX-838 search and found this site. Maybe useful?
... one line stage to go ... encased in salvaged Atman aquarium overtank light... 6C5S, two 0D3A, one 6CG7 per channel... There were some problems with noise but shielded cables and rerouting the secondary lines solved it (thx to diyaudio friends on Croatian branch of the forum )...
some pics along the way - aluminum profile, cleaning, primer, black paint, bordeaux paint, hydropaint (carbon pattern on transformer bells, wood pattern on front plastic)... sounds nice, thinking of remote controlled pot but gotta find the way to hide all the needed electronics down under... we`ll see
