It seems to me to sing like Ella Fitzgerald :D

All six kits are arrived.
I'll tell you about the hp amp.

Thanks a lot, Sonnya.

If any wants to hear the TSSA V1.7 you can write me an email and we will arrange an listening session. I can do a demo on Raidho C1.1.

Migo and his college (Kado Sound) did have there own build of this amp with them on the HIFI surround in Copenhagen last month.

They are skilled speaker designers and they use AMT's in there speaker. They also makes there own cables, and the cables are "affordable" . If anyone is interested i think they should ask Migo if he want's to do demo on his speakers. you will not be disappointed.

The Speaker Migo makes is not as sensitive (SPL /1 watt) as the one Buzzforb or salas have but they are better than the Raidho.

The TSSA V1.7 is actually more than satisfying for most customers regarding sound pressure. Anything above 86dB/1 watt is really a good match.

Hi all.

I need help with my work schedule:

Position 1 to 3 is ok

1) Test Audiopower SMPS DPS400/S2 with TSSA V1.7
2) Finish TSSA V4 and V8 before end of this month.
3) Finish my new chassis.

The rest i cannot determine which to do first.

4) Preamp section for TSSA V1.7 with remote control based on good opamps.
5) Discrete preamp also with remote control.
6) RIAA
7) USB DAC

Any wishes? .... it is after all wish-time.

- Sonny

For RIAA filters, I have always defaulted to Auricap XO. This is in comparison to obbligato gold, relcap RT, and mkp1837. There is just something about them I like. Need to try MR. Did not like SA. SA was only tried in AC coupling position

OK. So here the list is:

1) Discrete Preamp with remote control interface
2) RIAA PHONO stage - discrete frontend, discrete opamp stage.
3) Preamp based on opamps (Makes the TSSA V1.7 a fine integrated amp)
4) USB DAC.

I would vote for USB DAC, which could use discrete preamp as output stage. This would make project nicely modular, as people could buy only USB DAC, preamp or both.

Here is my final incarnation of TSSA V1.7
Power supply is 132000 uF per channel and biased at 1 amp.
Sounds wonderful a I said before and really silent on 100dB horns.
Also I preferred it without the 1uF bypass on the feedback capacitors.
Seemed more transparent to my ears.

TSSA v1.7

Well Iv'e successfully made another beautiful music maker. The case was on the verge of not working, but turned out to be a perfect fit. Its running at 14*C above ambient temperature @200ma bias. It has dual SMPS DPS-400/S2/LV power supplies.:)

It is a very Compact design you have made ... How do you Think the audiopower DPS-400/S2 works with the TSSA V1.7?
