Congratulations dberglez on creativity

dberglez I do think you have a creative spirit and succeeded in something original.
I must admit I don't fully appreciate the level of gaga response to these steam designs. What does steam have to do with sound? Does copper pipe play some role? As a shield for signal wire I get it, but I suspect it is like fins on a 60 caddy.

Actually is not only creativity, is Art. Is Kunst.
It is not only the benefit offered by the sculpture, now in the West sculptors seek mobile sculptures, this thing is and over brings the added benefit of the music, the art on all the arts.
As I would say, form and function. But this amp is more like, art and function. Still tipping my hat to its creator.

I don't usually like 'steam punk' style things, but that is because most people simply glue gears and other superfluous items to something and call it 'steam punk'. This amp is impressive in that most (hopefully all) of the 'punkish' additions are functional!

I just haven't figured out the purpose of the heatsink above the nixie tubes, but I'm hoping some component is getting cooled off by it :).

Of course, every part is functionally, that is the clue. But further, the aspect is good also. The pot, the vu. I made the same with a lamp in my table lunch room. But with an amp!

Love the wooden tag strips- did you make them yourself? What are the tags made from?
